Out-of-state and International students now constitute over 50% of the 2013-14 freshman class. These changes may bring about the biggest shifts at UA since Authering Lucy took her bold steps across campus in 1956. Out-of-state UA students have heard their fair share of Alabama jokes or stories, but can you imagine moving from overseas to not only a brand new state but a whole other country, perhaps with new languages to learn and tons of new cultural traditions?
